[hɔi:k]spiel ist das zweite Stück aus dem Zyklus ‘-spiel’ für Soloinstrument. Das Hauptaugenmerk liegt auf der Idee verschiedene, idiomatische Merkmale aus der chinesischen Kalligraphiekunst in Musik zu verwandeln. Der Schreiber wird zum Marimbaspieler, Schreibpinsel und Papier werden zu Schlägeln und Klangstäben. Die Kunst der Kalligraphie wandert also auf die Marimba.

 [hɔi:k]spiel is the second piece from the cycle '-spiel' for solo instrument. The main focus is on the idea of transforming various idiomatic features from the art of Chinese calligraphy into music. The scribe becomes a marimba player, writing brush and paper become mallets and bars. The art of calligraphy thus migrates to the marimba.
